“In our interactive dynamic-media age Rah Crawford’s work is like a dimension-bridging mortar, palpable-hypertext. As the modern generation’s taste matures beyond games, the net and magazines, Rah’s art is kind of right there waiting for us.” -D. Davyes
An autodidact determined to find his own voice, Rah Crawford declined a 4 year scholarship to the University of the Arts and spent the next 10 years of his life on an unwavering path of creative discovery and independent education. His quest for knowledge and clarity resulted in the creation of NPIC-Art, a two dimensional interactive approach to art. This new method of the Neo Pop movement in contemporary art invites the viewer to engage the work by researching the clued text used in the works, thereby adding a new contextual layer to explore.
Rah Crawford currently resides in Brooklyn, New York and is evolving NPIC-Art into its abstract form.A
