Rulers of the Deep a.k.a. The Vibe Residents are a DJ duo comprised of DJ Meri and P. Julm from Estonia. The two met in 1998 when they were chosen to become the resident DJs for the most talked about event in Estonia "‘VIBE". The duo, became known under the moniker "THE VIBE RESIDENTS", providing a classic in the making. VIBE gave the Rulers a whole new Dj’ing opportunity of sharing nights with DJ’s and artists such as Josh Wink, King Britt, Roger Sanchez, and the list goes on. When the two came together to remix KOT’s "Finally" their talent soon became surprisingly noticed by the likes of Seamus Haji and Simon Dunmore (Defected), Roger Sanchez, and Josh Wink. They then remixed ATFC "Sleep Talk" that rose to no.1 on the UK charts. Their dedication to DJ Dozia "Track One" (inspired by one of his guest spots to Vibe) was signed to Ovum recordings and lead to a remix of the new SNS Project "Get Up". After their remix of SerJaye "Mahal Kita" (Neat Music UK) they decided to collaborate with "DragonFly" the vocalist from the track. Being no stranger to Roger Sanchez, Vibe Residents already had "Make it Funky" signed but, it was to the Rulers surprise that the track they would make with DragonFly, "Temptation" (a track that was done in 3 days), would be signed within seconds of hearing it to Roger Sanchez. "Temptation" will be the first release on Roger Sanchez new record label Stealth based in the UK September 2002. Other remixes under their belt are chart topping Shakedown "At Night", IL Padrinos feat Jocelyn Brown "That’s how good your love is", & Mambana "No Reason". Also scheduled for release in October a track that will set the name Rulers of the Deep aside from your average producers "Dirty Grooves" Ovum which has caught the attention of David Alvarado who has remixed the single. The duo now intend to work on 3 new tracks with Dragonfly, full-length albums for Stealth and Defected and are negotiating an album deal with Ovum Recordings. Their sound ranges from Deep to Tribal and Dark.

Besides their residency at Vibe where they play for over 4000 clubbers and the annual yearly Sun Dance Music Festival grossing over 20,000 party-goers the two have been Djing all over Europe at events such as:

* Club Radost FX in Prague. Together with Scumfrog and Pierre Ravan
* Global Connection Party in Prague w/ Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig & X-Press2Rulers of the Deep also host the official Friday night mix-show for "VIBE" called "VIBE FM". VIBE FM is a music showcase transmitted live on the National station "Raadio 2" (101.6 Mhz). The station covers Estonia, part of Russia, and part of Finland. VIBE FM reports its charts to www.vibe.ee

The two are scheduled to play Ministry of Sound with JJ Hernandez, ATFC, Smokin Jo and Simon Dunmore this August and then head off to Dubai to play with Roger Sanchez at Planetarium. It won’t be long before they head their way to Ibiza.
