DJ David Moreno from Barcelona, resident in Ibiza for past 12 years. Moreno is an inevitable musical reference on the island of Ibiza. Through his IBIZA DANCE radio program on CADENA 100 (89.1fm) for 11years, David keeps the masses informed of the latest happenings and news from the heart of the world capital of dance music. The Ibiza dance shows are famed throughout the dance scene and heavyweights such as Sasha, DJ Sneak, Sven Vath, Todd Terry and Armand Van Helden have shared the decks with him live over the airwaves.

David Moreno started out on the DJ path in 1985, as radio presenter on some of the principal radio station of Cubellas (Barcelona).

In 1987, he won first prize in the radio DeeJay Awards whilst working for Onda Cero(Vilanova i la Geltrú).

In 1989, he traveled to Ibiza where he soon landed work on two of the best known radio frequencies-Cadena 4, and later, Cadena 100. After two years of intense musical activity, he created the first program on Spanish airwaves specializing in dance music and electronica IBIZA DANCE was born. The show has since gone from strength and has seen a host of international DJs clamoring to guest DJ throughout its history.

In the 1999 saw a nomination for Moreno at the prestigious DJ Awards, held annually at the end of the Ibiza season. His name was presented together with world famous DJ’s including Danny Rampling, Judge Jules and Pete Tong. As far as musical productions go, David Moreno has so far released a total of 5 maxi singles 2 LP’s together with Lennart Krarup on the Ibizarre record label.

In 2001, he released the long awaited 'FLYING KITCHEN', collaboration with Juanjo Mur. He is also one of the DJ’s starred on the compilation 'ESSENTIAL HOUSE' (Divucsa label) which has sold more than 15,000 copies.

In Ibiza, he combines his full schedule as radio DJ with residencies at ZENITH (AMNESIA), XTRAVAGANZA (PRIVILEGE) and SPACE.

Currently he is involved with the SPACE WORLD TOUR, whose destinations include Amsterdam and Madrid. This year he has visited San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Israel, Egypt, New York and Japan. His set at the recent IMPULZ Festival in Amsterdam, where he played to a crowd of 30.000 people was seen as a key point in his DJ career. David Moreno is widely regarded as a key figure in the dance culture world and plays with a passion so extreme as to leave no one in any doubt of both his musical and technical abilities.
